Angry Birds

Yes, those Angry Birds. The ones that are everywhere, even on your fruit snacks and bandages and now try to look like your favorite Star Wars character. While we were in Ann Arbor the public library hosted a number of summer events for kids including a live Angry Birds event. It included several activities, the big one being a sling shot to knock down pigs, and food. Add together a hundred kids in a gymnasium with loud music and you have a recipe for fun! (Sarcasm, yes.)

Actually, although it was loud, Xavier and Mara had a fun time. The sling shots were too hard to really hit a pig, but clever. Each kid only got three attempts and they probably needed about 20 to even get it down.

Here are the sling shots and the balloon pigs. I didn't get photos of my kids doing it, because I was busy helping them make their attempts.

What fun!
