Toolbox

Xavier's always been interested in Peter's toolbox. When we converted his crib to a toddler bed, it took a lot of effort to keep him out of it. Peter gave him a tool to play with and he followed Peter around pretending to tighten and screw. Anticipating putting the bunkbeds together, we got Xavier his very own toolbox with tools and we gave it to him just before Peter got started on the bunkbeds. This was a huge hit. This time he followed Peter around with his own tools pretending to tighten, screw, and hammer the bunkbeds. Yesterday and today, he has also played with them much of the day, fixing trucks, screwing screws and hammering walls (without damage). He tells us he has work to do and runs off immediately after meals to his toolbox.
